So it is nearly time for this server to be released! Over the last few days our development has put in an incredible effort into new content, including the new map, and fixing some old bugs and issues people had with our Lakeside server. Now that we are undergoing the switch to Douglas County (Our entirely custom version of Kelleys Island), as well as significant framework changes we have decided to do a staggered release plan for the server.
Firstly, starting roughly 12-14 hours (Monday the 4th) after this post goes live we have planned an ‘alpha phase’, lasting until the morning of Friday the 8th (GMT). During this alpha period we plan to release updates every day (/couple of hours) fixing key bugs, as well as improving the server to the requests of players in order to make it more playable and enjoyable. On Friday the 8th we plan to enter our BETA update. This update will be a large content update, and following it we will do the same as in alpha (although we aim to have all the bugs resolved by this point), as well as introducing new money-making methods and fun things to do ingame. During these two times we ask that you please log any bugs that you come across, as well as also give us all your suggestions for features (ideally on the forums or message me on discord at Ben Harris#7502) so that we can cater our updates around what our community wants, which is significantly easier than guessing what you all want.
During the alpha period we will also be preparing and conducting PR (e.g. trailers of individual new features, map, etc. in order to advertise our community). We will set a definite time for the release on Friday by Wednesday night.
The work that has been done on the map is incredibly good and with a ton of new changes, custom user interfaces and custom features the server is going to be a great experience to play once we can get it ironed out with your help (and hopefully even right away). So come check it out, it’s going to be a great time for everyone on the server.
